I wasn’t always the “Hero” in my own life. I was the shy girl, the idealist, the woman who wanted to change the world but didn’t always have the courage to do it. Throughout my journey, I have always surrounded myself with people who lift my spirit, motivate, and inspire me.
This is a selection of quotes by women who I find inspiring–women who have made lasting contributions to the world and transformed a woman’s role in it. These women have inspired me through their acts of kindness, their strength, and their courage. All these women have accomplished great things, large and small.

Maya Angelou is one of my favorite writers! This quote is so powerful and meaningful for me. I have lost many loved ones this year and one thing that has become apparent to me is that how we make people feel is really all that matters.

How many of us can appreciate this statement? Sometimes we can be hard on ourselves and for those of us who are perfectionists, we are our own worst critics. Life reveals the humanity and vulnerability in all of us. Failure is truly part of success. At some point in our lives, we all fall victim to unforeseen circumstances, which is just life’s way of telling us that we need to change course. Failure should be redefined to mean a lesson to help us grow and guide us to the path of success.
